MAY JACOB: LYRICS, VOCALS, SOUND DIRECTOR, COSTUME & WEB DESIGNER
ABE DELEON: GUITAR, SYNTHESIZER, KEYBOARDS

The stage is dark. A single red beam pierces the darkness. The crowd falls silent. There's a girl laying deathly still on a platform. Everyone is holding their breath.

The thumping of a heartbeat fills the room, followed by the sound of a cold, icy wind.

A haunting, melodic guitar riff starts to play, the guitarist facing the wall. The music plays for what seems like eternity, and then, an angelic child-like voice emerges from the darkness...

The sad voice wails over the music, asking "When does the nightmare end? When does life begin?" Hearts cut out into the band's custom stage pulse with a red glow at the sound of each heart-beat.

You might think you were watching a goth band, except for some reason, singer-poet May Jacob is drowning in a huge brightly colored handmade ball-gown and guitarist Abe Deleon is dressed to match in white, mint green and a hint of red.

The buzz from the bar has died down. In fact, something amazing has happened: everyone in the entire club has left the bar to come watch the band. No one is moving a muscle; the whole crowd is transfixed on the band. The audience is so still and silent that you could hear a pin drop if only the band wasn't there. And then the drunks begin to cheer and clap, and yell "MayStar!" 45 minutes later, the show is over, and not a person has left the room. "It was beautiful, so unique" the crowd mutters over cigarettes and vodka tonics.

To be continued......
